Christy Hi Christy, I've been looking through the groups on meetup.com and yours stood out (because SAHMs are strong women!). I work for the Lowell Devils hockey team and I'm organizing a Ladies Night on March 19, 2010. It's kind of far ahead, but I thought that maybe some members of your group would be interested in having a girls night out. I can get your group discounted tickets ($11 instead of the usual $18), or if your group would like to do a fundraiser, you can sell tickets for $18, give us $11 and keep $7 from every ticket for your organization. Ladies Night is going to be incredible this year. We are raising money for breast cancer and domestic violence through the Mary Kay Ash foundation. We are having a bobble head giveaway that night (which is fun). Fun music will be played throughout the game and we will have massages in the lobby. We will be honoring women throughout the night, and we are giving away a dinner in downtown Lowell with tickets to a show at the Merrimack Rep. Theater. The Friends of Kevin will be holding a networking event on March 24th from 5 to 7pm at the Merrimack Repertory Theatre at 50 East Merrimack St in Lowell Ma. Admission fee is $10.00. Tom Parrish and the MRT have kindly made tickets available to the group for half price. $23.50 for the orchestra section and $21.00 for the balcony. The show starts at 7:30. What is the Friends of Kevin?: The Friends of Kevin is a unique networking group that brings together the business, non profit and artist communities. We hold our friendworking events at non profits in the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire. The mission of the group is to raise awareness of local non profits and artists while allowing the group members to network in a stress free environment. Describe a typical Friends of Kevin event?: The events last two hours. At the end of the first hour, we have what we call the non profit minute. Every non profit that attends has one minute to tell the group about their cause and how we can help. This has helped them gain new donors and volunteers. We also have a artist minute. We have two artists bring a few pieces to the group to showcase their work. The great thing about the group is that we always have new people coming to the events. The group is ideal for all businesses, non profits and artists. At this meetup we will make a few cards and have some fun. The card shown is a card from last month's meeting. $5 fee to cover the supplies. There are 3 times available 6 pm, 7 PM and 8 pm. At the 6-7 time slot, you may bring a child ages 10-15 for an additional $5. They can do the projects with you. After 7PM, no children please. Some of us mom's want the escape!
